Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro Debuts in Teaser Ahead of August 5 Launch: Design, Colours and What to Expect

Huawei has teased its new Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro smartwatches. The upcoming devices will officially launch on August 5 in China. The Pro version features an octagonal bezel and a new dynamic green color. Health monitoring capabilities include ECG and PPG sensors with a unique X-Tap button. The smartwatches will focus on sports and outdoor activities with GPS navigation.

The Chinese tech giant, Huawei, has announced the launch of its upcoming premium smartwatch in China through a teaser and has shown the users their new flagship smartwatch line-up. The teaser was released just two days ahead of the actual launch and the teaser reveals the design of the smartwatch in green color.

The upcoming Huawei Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro smartwatches are scheduled to be launched on August 5 at 2:30 PM local time. At the time being, Huawei will unveil the entire specifications and features at the time of the launch, but for now, the company is paying attention to the design of the Pro version.

Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro design teased

It would seem that the design concept of the Watch GT 7 Pro has been largely kept from that of its predecessor, the Watch GT 6 Pro, and it sports an octagonal bezel with a circular AMOLED screen inside, thus looking rugged and sporty.

As for the newly revealed gadget, it comes in dynamic green colour, which seems to be one of the most noticeable differences in visuals this time. To go along with this new gadget is a green strap, which should provide comfortable fit to the wrist.

In addition, there are some markings on the bezel for an analogue 24 hour clock and minute indicators. On the right side of the watch there are two buttons, one of which can be used as a rotating crown.

Rotating the crown will help in navigating more easily by scrolling in menus, zooming into messages, etc. The second button, called X-Tap, will have health monitoring capabilities, where from the details about the gadget, it has a combination of ECG sensor, PPG optical sensor, and 10-level touch pressure sensor.

It means that the users will have to interact with the sensor using just touches or taps to access the health information and reports. It seems that Huawei has not released the full list of health capabilities for the Watch GT 7 Pro.

The promotional materials for Huawei also shed light on some of the features that the soon-to-be-launched smartwatch would offer. For example, there is a teaser which shows that the smartwatch can be used while hiking; there is a map application showing GPS navigation.

There is also another teaser which reveals that the device can be used while skipping rope. Thus, we can say that Huawei’s smartwatch would be concentrating on sport.

But it must be noted that Huawei has not yet disclosed any specific details or upgrade over the older versions of the Watch GT series.

Huawei Watch GT 7 series colour and size options

The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro will come in green, silver, and black color variations. On the other hand, the regular Huawei Watch GT 7 could reportedly have silver, gold, and black color choices.

The regular version of the watch will come in two sizes: the 41mm and 46mm versions. So far, Huawei has yet to announce the complete line-up of color and size choices for their new smartwatch.

An earlier leak revealed the Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro ahead of the company’s official teaser for the device. The recent teaser has just revealed that the company is indeed planning to unveil both smartwatches simultaneously.

Huawei has officially announced that Watch GT 7 series will be launched on August 5 at 2:30 PM China Time. It is expected that the company will unveil more about the specifications and pricing details of the watch.

At the launch event, the Chinese actor Wu Lei will be seen who has been appointed by the company as its Global brand ambassador for sports and health watches.

Currently, the new green color option for Watch GT 7 Pro, the same octagonal bezel design, AMOLED display, and the health-centric X-Tap button have been the major highlights from Huawei's side.
