Teresa Scanlan, Miss Nebraska has been crowned Miss America. Scanlan is the youngest winner in 90 years, since the first competition in 1921 when Margaret Gorman won at 15-years-old.
Scanlan is a recent high school graduate from the town of Gering, Nebraska. She planned to study American politics at Patrick Henry College in Virginia and attend law school to become a judge and politician until she was crowned Miss America, now she will push back her studies and concentrate on her reign as the queen of the competition.
